Montana Taylor, MS, AMFT
Montana Taylor is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Advanced Health Care. She graduated from University of California San Diego with dual degrees in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience. In 2023, she received a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University Northridge.
Montana has experience providing therapeutic services in both an outpatient clinical setting and a school setting. She provided individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy in an outpatient clinic to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relational conflict, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Montana also worked as a school counselor providing therapeutic services to children ages 5-12 who were struggling with academic difficulties, separation anxiety, social anxiety, grief, and managing anger. She provided assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborated with the child’s team to provide the best care possible to the students. Montana strives to create a warm and compassionate therapeutic space that empowers clients to achieve their goals on their journey toward improved mental health and fulfillment in life. She does this in a way that honors each persons' needs, creating treatment plans that are tailored for each individual. Her therapeutic style combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and attachment theory. She also aims to have a creative and flexible approach that gives clients a space to find out what works best for them in their therapy process. At this time, Montana Taylor, AMFT works under the direct supervision of Dr. Sarah Ray, Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Bindhu Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as she gains hours toward licensure. |
