Ana Bernardino, MS, AMFT
Ana Bernardino is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Advanced Health Care. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at California State University, Chico. She then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University, Chico.
Ana has experience providing individual, group, and couples therapy services. She began her clinical work at California State University, Chico where she worked in the WellCat Counseling Center offering biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, referrals and resource connections, and psychotherapy services to college students. She offered individual and group therapy to students struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress, food and body image, personal growth, life transitions, interpersonal issues, career planning, and academic functioning. She also has experience working with couples helping them navigate the various challenges of a relationship, including conflict, connection, and communication. Ana is an empathetic and compassionate therapist. Her ambition is to collaborate with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and varying needs to empower and guide them towards achieving their goals. She utilizes an integrated approach to therapy, basing her foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy while drawing from other modalities such as person-centered, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She places great importance on creating a safe and collaborative space for people to heal and create lasting change that will lead to a healthier, happier, and more productive life. At this time, Ana Bernardino, AMFT works under the direct supervision of Dr. Sarah Ray, Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Bindhu Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as she gains hours toward licensure. |
