Katelyn Dunford, LMFT
Katelyn is a Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist and received her Master of Arts in Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. Katelyn’s coursework placed strong emphasis on integrating social justice into a therapeutic framework. Katelyn currently uses this framework along with family systems theory, structural family therapy, humanistic approach, and at times expressive arts.
Katelyn’s clinical experiences include providing therapy from an integrative medical approach. Katelyn embraces collaboration between holistic and conventional medicine which focuses on the whole person along with an emphasis on the client/provider partnership. This training included collaboration with medical providers which increased her awareness of how various medical conditions and medications can impact the mind and body. Katelyn often collaborates and as needed refers clients to other forms of healing such as acupuncture, chiropractic, and naturopathic care. Katelyn also enjoys and has experience working with older adults, couples, and the LGBTQA+ community, while also having many past experiences working with children and teenagers. Education:
