Iscah Yau, MA, AMFT
Iscah Yau is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Advanced Health Care. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at University of California San Diego. In 2021, she received a Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy at Bethel Seminary San Diego.
Iscah has experience providing therapeutic services in a wide range of clinical settings. Iscah began her clinical work in 2020 at San Diego Rescue Mission and Alvarado Parkway Institute. She provided individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy in residential and psychiatric inpatient settings to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and dual diagnosis. Iscah also worked as a program therapist at Union of Pan Asian Communities’ Children and Adolescent Mental Health Program (UPAC CMH). She provided school and community based psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and transitional age youth with a wide range of mood disorders and behavioral problems. At UPAC, she provided diagnostic screening, biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, as well as case management services. Iscah is a therapist who actively listens and collaborates with her clients in their healing journey. Her therapeutic approaches include an integration of cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, as well as attachment theory. She deeply values the importance of creating a compassionate safe space as she walks with her clients so they can experience healing and transformative change in their lives. At this time, Iscah Yau, AMFT works under the direct supervision of Dr. Sarah Ray, Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Bindhu Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as she gains hours toward licensure. |
