Isabella Hiller, MA, AMFT

Picture
Isabella Hiller is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Advanced Health Care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego.

Isabella began her clinical work at Crossroads Family Center, providing individual and family therapy to youth, parents, and families experiencing a range of moderate to severe mental health concerns in an outpatient community mental health setting. She collaborated with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to support youth in building emotional regulation, developing distress tolerance skills, and strengthening safety and connection within their support systems. Her work has primarily supported clients from underserved communities, with a focus on providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that honors each client’s lived experience and social context. Her clinical experience includes supporting clients through challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma, improving functional behaviors and relational dynamics, increasing self-awareness, authenticity, and identity exploration, and assisting with crisis stabilization and safety planning when necessary.

Isabella is passionate about helping clients live in alignment with their values and find meaning throughout life’s transitions. She has a special interest in working with transitional aged youth, multicultural and blended families, and individuals of all ages as they navigate life transitions and relational challenges. Grounded in the belief that connection—with self and others—is central to healing, she supports clients in recognizing recurring patterns, and bringing unspoken feelings and unmet needs into awareness in a way that honors their individual experiences.

Drawing from Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral approaches, Isabella also integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing into her work. She prioritizes fostering a collaborative space where clients are empowered to explore their experiences, develop insight, and create lasting change.

Outside of her clinical work, Isabella is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, working with women of all ages to build strength and confidence through movement in a supportive community. In her free time, she enjoys long walks, weightlifting, traveling, and spending time with her partner and their two adopted cats, Scone and Peaches
