Daniela Calderon, APCC
Daniela is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) who takes a holistic approach to mental health treatment. She graduated from San Diego State University with an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
Daniela uses a collaborative approach with clients and combines Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Trauma Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to target the needs of each client in a creative and comprehensive way. She is a therapist that values an individual's experiences and its impact on different parts of a person's life (i.e., social, mental, physical, spiritual, sexual, vocational etc.). Daniela has experience working with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships/social skills, ADHD, Autism, complex trauma, and chronic and persistent mental illness. She has worked in community mental health settings, private vocational rehabilitation counseling centers, and has facilitated employment and social skills groups for people with Autism. She is also an adult and kids yoga teacher. At this time, Daniela Calderon, APCC works under the direct supervision of Dr. Sarah Ray, Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Bindhu Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as she gains hours toward licensure. |
